Erin H. Nelson
Baby Can't Trip is an introspective piece aimed at digging into the subconscious and breaking through emotions. This piece came together quickly after an attempt to meditate and process thoughts on gender and race in America. Very often, I use painting as a way to tap into the feelings that are below the surface, unreachable by other means.
Erin H. Nelson is originally from beautiful Chicago, Oregon resident for 10 years, now soaking up sun in St. Pete, FL, and painting in much brighter colors. At some point in time, painting stopped being a hobby and became a habit for Erin - a natural part of how she lives her life. Painting is a way for Erin to express the things she feels but can’t communicate, and to capture moments and people to remember. Many of her paintings are auto-biographical, abstract, self-portraits.
