"Art is a constant presence in my life. It has guided me to explore subjects of the macabre to understand human sexuality and connect with the LGBTQ community. This can be seen in studies of performers in the Twin Cities like in the appreciation of the male form in . One design element that pops up frequently is my use of the “spiral” which represents change, growth, and symbol of the golden ratio. The artwork has a bearish individual in fetish gear. Before pandemic this was used as an isolation fetish gear and now we are in a pandemic masks are the norm and something that we live with and it’s not over. I also wanted to invoke a club scene with this piece as clubs are reopening and sex is back. It’s ironic that LGBTQ people have been living in a “plague” for 45 years and now this plague affects everyone. Some react very well, not so much, or even criticizing the plague. This is how it fits into questing a pandemic."
