Regan Musgrove

I am enamored with fiber arts and seek them out in art shows and art exhibitions. Yet fiber arts are usually relegated to “craft” displays. I believe that the artistry and uniqueness of basketry should earn it the title of “art” and a place in the art community.

I began weaving baskets in the early 1990’s. I learned to make reed baskets and continued with this medium until the pandemic. During the isolation of the pandemic, I learned to coil with pine needles. The challenge of creating using a new process kept me occupied during the pandemic.
