I am inspired by the abstract expressionists with their freedom of color, composition, and pushing the limits of possibility. I can relate to their energy with today’s current events. Working intuitively, I allow the piece to transform, like an evolving puzzle. I want the viewer to personally connect to my art if listening to music, responding emotionally with their own interpretation.

Artist Statement about the Piece (s) Submitted
Title/Medium: Love Always Wins [Acrylic]

"This piece is depicting figures represented by colors of the LBGTQ community and the people of color placed on a chaotic background, being our collective energies, our souls, vibrating for a peaceful existence. Our political climate is volatile with too many variables that can hinder our sense of security. This piece has the sense of past and present struggles. But standing together, we must always remember that Love Always Wins.

Title/Medium: We the People [Acrylic]

"This piece represents LBGTQ and people of color living in the United States have the same rights as all other Americans. There should be no boundaries when it comes to the citizens of our country.
