My goal is to create meaningful fine art photographs that are artistically inspired, thoughtfully conceived, and technically executed to the highest standards.
Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is my process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture its unique self. The goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them. I enjoy photographing people because I am curious about what lies behind their eyes, where they have been, and where they hope to go. “Art is not what you see but what makes others see.”

"Art and Soul is the perfect metaphor for my entry. What is the key to awakening someone's heART and soul? Heterosexual or homosexual, the answer is quite simple. It has everything to do with you, not him. This image displays the strong connection between these two men baring their souls proving that Love is Love."
In 1980, I moved from L.A. to New York City. I landed a position with a major jewelry company as a designer. After two years, I was working with companies like Tiffany & Co, Neiman Marcus, among others. More than the design work itself, I fell in love with photographing my award-winning pieces for catalogs and magazines.
Eventually, I found myself working more behind the camera than at my workbench. This seemed like something I should pay attention to, so I followed my instinct and began to photograph things other than my jewelry. In retrospect, the two crafts are very much alike: both deal with light and composition and both attention to detail.
